Deputy Matthew Frantz, with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Department has been suspended without pay as a result of an OVI. Frantz was arrested by a Ohio Highway Patrolman on April 15. The legal limit in Ohio is blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.8%. According to Frantz’s BAC was .100.
“Please be advised that I was informed about this officers conduct late Sunday evening April 15, 2018 and on Monday, April 16, 2018 the employee was interviewed here at the Sheriff’s Office by me and Chief Deputy Miller,” Sheriff Marty V. Donini stated. “As the result of our interview, the employee was immediately disciplined in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement between the Scioto County Sheriff Office and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council. The employee is currently serving a two week suspension without pay from April 16, 2018 through April 29, 2018.”
