Portsmouth, Ohio – Shawnee State men’s and women’s golf had a combined six student-athletes named Mid-South Conference All-Academic for the 2017-18 season.

SSU’s men had three players awarded the Mid-South Conference’s highest academic honor. Dagan Abdon, Ben Wilson and Bobby Thomas all earned the award. The three players matches Shawnee State’s total in 2014-15, and is the most since SSU joined the Mid-South Conference for the 2010-11 season.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have maintained a 3.25 cumulative GPA over their college career.

Shawnee State men’s and women’s golf begin postseason play on Monday, April 23 at the Mid-South Conference Tournament, hosted at Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
