NBPD respond to shooting, find man coherent after self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head

New Boston Police Department (NBPD) responded to a gunshot call at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday morning to find that a man has survived a self-inflicted wound to the head.

According to a release from the NBPD, officers were dispatched to 4352 Milbrook Ave., where they found a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his “head area.”

“The subject was walking around and was coherent,” the release stated.

According to the release, the subject does live at the address provided. He was taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment.

NBPD stated that their investigation has determined that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted; however, they are investigating further. They are not releasing the name of the subject at this time. And, no charges have been filed.
