The Counseling Center’s (TCC) Summer Outreach Club is holding their 10th Annual Celebrity Chef Dinner and Silent Auction at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) Friends Center at 1202 18th Street in Portsmouth.
According to information from TCC, this event is one of the largest fundraisers that The Counseling Center holds annually. The event is held to raise money so that all children — both privileged and underprivileged, in and outside the community — ages 5-12 can have a safe and effective way to stay out of the streets during summer time with multiple fun activities such as playing games, swimming, playing at the park and other age appropriate activities. According to TCC, the Summer Outreach Program has been up and running for 28 years and opens young kids up to the possibility of new adventures and experiences.
The Celebrity Chef Dinner will feature the meal of the evening, a 5-star dinner buffet including lemon pepper chicken over herb rice, delicately sliced prime rib, roasted red potatoes with rosemary, parmesan brussels sprouts with bacon, garlic green beans, maple glazed carrots and decadent desserts by 83 Sweets. This event features local all-star celebrity chefs such as Clarence Parker & Ed Hughes, Mary Arnzen & Debbie Daniels, Leasa Mowery & Becky Climer, Dr. Steve Rader & Elizabeth Blevins, Lisa and Tiffany Knauff, Steve and Malissa Sarver, Commissioner Bryan and Lori Davis, Sam and Joyce Peters and Dawn scott and Sean Little.
The event will also include live music by Person 2 Person, a silent auction, raffles and more.
“This event is so much fun and brings so many wonderful people together, raising money for a fantastic cause — The Summer Outreach Club,” TCC Community Relations and Development Specialist Melissa Whitt. “We would like to thank everyone for their support and help with making this event a huge success.”
She added that tickets are still on sale for $50 each. For more information, call (740) 351-2707.
